The January Clubbox 2022 offers 15g each of the following teas from different regions in China, which are also quite diverse in taste and appearance:

1. Dian Hong Cha Black & Golden Needle

“Diang Hong Cha” stands for black – or red – tea from Yunnan, and SiamTee’s Black & Golden Needle is one of the very finest representatives of its kind. Plucked from ancient tea trees growing at altitudes of over 2000 meters, with a long history of local tea culture and associated teas Art of picking and processing. The result is a visually, olfactorily and tastefully beguiling black tea whose full-bodied, round taste combines a multi-faceted aromatic spectrum in perfect harmony. The palette ranges from coconut and honey to spicy-sweet cocoa and chocolate notes.

2. Jin Mao Hu Golden Monkey

Jin Mao Hue Golden Monkey is a black tea from Fu’an county, located in the northeast of the Chinese province of Fujian. It convinces with palatefulness and a complex, slightly volatile and everchanging mouthfeel. The pronounced, caramel-sweet roast note harmonizes with a fresh, fruity note reminiscent of ripe peaches with a hint of orchid. The resulting aromatic compound lingers on the gourmet’s palate for a long time in the aftertaste of the tea.

3. Keemun Hao Ya A

Keemun Hao Ya ‘A’ is a top grade Keemun black tea from Qihong town, Qimen county, Anhui, China, picked during the year’s best season in spring with a 1+2 picking standard. Due to its favorable high mountain altitudes, nutrient-rich soils and great natural diversity, the location has a reputation for high quality Keemun teas. Here, this tea is cultivated and processed according to original Keemun tradition by a tea farmer cooperative with many years of experience in the cultivation and production of Keemun black tea.

4. Jin Jun Mei Golden Eyebrows

Zhengshan Jin Jun Mei Golden Eyebrows is a pure spring bud black tea from the “zhengshan” area around Wuyishan’s Tong Mu Guan, Fujian Province, China. The fresh scent of the tea already gives an idea of its high sweetness and the spicy aroma of ripe summer fruits (longan). The full-bodied taste of the bright red infusion consists of a multifaceted complex of spicy-sweet and chocolaty-fruity flavors. The intensely fruity aftertaste still lingers on the gourmet’s palate even long after drinking.

5. Classic Lapsang Souchong

Classic Lapsang Souchong Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong Black Tea – traditional dry pine wood fire smoke-dried “Bohea” black tea of highest (“nonpareil”) quality grade. The Chen family tends a number of Wuyishan tea gardens that have been in their possession for 3 generations now. Our Classic Lapsang Souchong comes from their Bohea tea garden near the village of Tong Mu. It produces a bright red tea liquor with a unique taste pattern, composing of a finely balanced, harmonious combination of the mild, but rich black tea basis and the artisan smoke-drying process.
